Regina Mundi Catholic Church, which became a sanctuary for safe gathering; Baragwanath Hospital, the largest Hospital in the Southern Hemisphere; Hector Pieterson Memorial, Hector was a 13-year old who was shot by South African police during the 1976 Soweto uprising.
Soweto has become one of the leading Tourists destinations, with refreshing hang-out spots (Chisanyama), public parks, clubs and live jazz bands.
Apartheid Museum Tour:
The Museum tells an Emotional, Self-sacrifice journey of the Freedom-Fighters in South Africa. At the entrance of the museum are the pillars of our constitution: Democracy, Diversity, Equality, Freedom, Reconciliation, Respect and Responsibility, which South Africa strives to achieve.

Uhura Travel & Tours was established in 2010 by Nkuli Simelane, who is intensely passionate about all things South Africa.
Nkuli’s love for tourism started after living out her cultural experience in Chile, South America as an exchange student. She quickly picked up the Spanish language and now fluently converses with Spanish speaking tourists and the Spanish speaking community in SA.
